Scholarship Guidelines: 

 

The All Shore Chorus is happy to be able to present 2 different scholarships opportunities: 

1. The Classical Scholarship 

2. The Musical Theatre Scholarship 

 

PROCEDURES for The Classical Scholarship 

1. Students must prepare two memorized “art” songs/arias - both pieces should be contrasting in tempo and one of them must be in a foreign language 

2. Students must provide their own sheet music for the audition and should indicate if they will need an accompanist for that day 

3. Students must be entering a 2-4 year college for music, music performance, music education degree, or an adjacent major or minor. 

 

PROCEDURES for The Musical Theatre Scholarship 

1. Students must prepare two memorized songs from the musical theatre canon - both pieces should be contrasting in tempo or style (classical musical theatre or modern musical theatre). 

2. Students must provide their own sheet music for the audition and should indicate if they will need an accompanist for that day 

3. Students must be entering a 2-4 year college for musical theatre performance, acting, or an adjacent major or minor. 

 

Up to 2 scholarships may be presented at the final concert. The recipient(s) will each perform one of their audition songs on that evening. If it is deemed by the directors of the All-Shore Chorus that no student qualifies, then a scholarship will not be presented for that year.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. The student must be a Senior member of the All-Shore Chorus

2. The student must be entering a 2- or 4-year college/university with a major or minor in music or theatre.
